#1 Part ID

Post by helena1969 » Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:14 pm

Hello everyone,

First off, thanks for having me on your forum.

I am not a jaguar owner, in fact I am a classic mini owner, which is what led me to your forum.

I recently acquired an old mk1mini shell and inside were
4 1/2 pairs of valve covers, or cam covers for Jaguar.

I know the guy I got the car from had a bunch of e-types / XKEs, and from my limited google image searching, I think they are from those motors.

Can someone ID these parts so I can accurately put them up for sale to get them to folks who need the parts?

Any help would be awesome. I hope I can help a fellow British car caretaker keep these cars on the road!

Also, I agree, the e-type is one of the most beautiful cars ever made... wish I could drive one one day!

Thanks!

Steve,

Awesome, thanks!

I wasn't sure which of the two sets of numbers were important.

They'll go up on ebay soon, hopefully someone can use them.

Thank you for the info!

When you list them, be sure to show the back ends of at least the non-filler cap ones, as this dictates which other models they would fit. If selling, you want to appeal to the largest number of potential buyers
