#1 E type heated rear window

Post by stmsitho » Wed Aug 29, 2012 3:49 pm

I have just bought the bits to change my tailgate witndow into an HRW (S2 2+2).

Got the window, got the loom and the relay - but can find little data an location for anything and certainly not in any of my many books. New switch in place on the dash and new title strip, understand the wiring diagram, but need the locations of the relay and which side loom should go. Would prefer to try and get it right.......Counselling required please!
Best Wishes,

Ian

Thanks David - that's really helpful, it stops me ripping out the wrong side. It's so long since i wired it. Any idea where the relay belongs? If i get the loom in, it'll probably work it out itself though.
Best Wishes,

Ian

I havn't yet fitted the relay but the loom close to the switch is pretty long with a lot of flexibility on where the relay could go. As its position would be hidden behind hardura i dont really think it matters to be honest.
