do you know were to get good rubber trims i have some from SNG and they look differnt to the one's fitted

Simon, the quality and configuration of rubber trim pieces can be all over the map, but they've gotten a lot better in recent years. The only ones really worth worrying about are the door seals. Some of these have been so stiff that they make the doors impossible to shut without slamming the daylights out of them. This will place undue stress on the door frames and lead to cracking in the door skins where the frames exit. A reputable supplier such as SNG should have the correct pieces.

thats what happens when a plasterer start playing with stuff he know's nothing about,

Hi Simon
I had my car trimmed at CMC recently, and as part of that they suggested fitting new softer rubber door trims which had only become available in the past year or two. Pretty sure they came from SNG. I had put new ones on about 6 years back and they were way too hard, which meant that ether the door wouldn't close easily or it would stick out!

I already emailed CMC ordering the removable steering wheel ,and put a note on there asking them which rubbers they use so should find out

I bought some rubber seals for the door frames on my FHC from SNG in the summer and they were way too big and too firm.
I returned them and bought much better ones from Hutson's.
This is the only bad purchase I have had from SNG, who, in all other respects are the dog's whatsits.

The B post ones I got from SNG were made of some un-stickable rubber and most of the other rubber perished in short order. I can recommend COH Bains though:

...and the rear three-quarter window seals for my FHC from SNG (bought last year) were solid rubber in the dovetail area rather than the thin rubber surface and foam centre on the originals. The foam centre of the originals makes the seals less stiff and much easier to fit into the dovetail rail.

For what its worth, while my shell was being repaired at CMC last year I made sure they fitted the door seals and adjusted the doors for me. Tim Griffin, their body guru, told me in passing that they preferred to source their door seals from SC Parts as they were a lot softer and worked better than anyone else they had used.
