Help and old boy find his first love

I was today at a car do with some friends and one of them showed me a picture of his second car! An outside bonnet lock 3.8 Roadster. He told me that it is still taxed and extant but very little about it on XKE data. He is not a current owner so not familiar with this forum , but I mentioned I would ask around. He would love to know more about it and perhaps see it again.
