#1 CKL developments Goodwood Track day

Post by Robbiee » Wed Jun 26, 2019 5:07 am

Dear All
Spent a fabulous day at Goodwood yesterday with CKL
instruction from Rob was amazing
Drove my coupe what I thought was very fast and was driven round in their 150S by Andy...now that was really fun!
Gives you a real appreciation of the speed of the track and how perfect it is for 30s to 50s designed cars
Very low pressure day...just friendly and fun
My wife drove the car too..really surprised at what fun it was
A couple of times we were alone on the circuit too
Recommend it to everyone

Great fun. I do it once a year with the JDC. Do CKL charge per driver, or per car? And is it expensive?

Hi
Of course it’s expensive!😆
@£750
For me and my car and that includes £50 for my wife to be a driver too
So that works out at £375 each, both driving
Includes refreshments all day and lunch, helmet and an instructor ..a lovely chap called Rob, who was brilliant and happy to be driven round at any time

My wife enjoyed it far more than she anticipated

Sounds like a great day Robbie.
For interest, if you fancy doing it with the JDC, we have the track for a whole day with Marshalls, and this year it was £220 inc. lunch and £25 for a passenger all day. Helmet hire an extra £20, or borrow one from somebody! Of course this is a non-profit thing, and in fact we often make a loss, which comes out of JDC coffers. JDC membership is cheap, so makes it a cheap way of having a great driving day.
