Depends what you are looking for. JEC and JDC cover all models so E-Type content in the magazines is low (2 pages typically) and tends to veer to descriptions of tours and Club meetings. The E-Type Club has an excellent magazine with a huge amount of detail on running, restoring and enjoying the cars. Well worth buying all the back issues as there are some fascinating contributions. I have been a member of all three (along with PCGB obviously) but I lapsed my JEC membership a few years ago and will probably not renew my JDC one. I will continue with E-Type Club if only for the monthly magazine as we have no interest in joining the other activities. To quote Groucho Marx "I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member".

If you are a member of PCGB you will have been spoilt by the size and quality of the monthly magazine - it is probably the best in the world and puts a lot of mainstream car mags to shame.

I fully agree with David. I have actually got me all of the back issues of the etype club magazines and the information therein is really helpful not only for restoring but just simple maintenance DIY stuff.

I am still member of JEC but more out of interest in other jaguars than specifically for etype (which indeed does not get that much coverage)

One great thing that the JEC do which the other clubs are less good at is the seminars, usually held at Jaguar's at Castle Bromwich on a Saturday. These cover a wide range of topics , and are invaluable if you want to get a good practical grasp of repair, maintenance and rebuilding, trimming, minor paint repairs etc

The E type club also runs a once a year visit to CMC at Bridgnorth where again you can get first class practical advice and demonstrations

Both these clubs are very worthwhile

You might want to check if the JEC or JDC has regular regional club meetings in a location near you. The JEC Kent Region has an active membership.

looking in my JEC mag, local meetings for Kent are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at TN24 9QR, not sure how far from you that is!

Thanks, there's also a meet in Knockholt at the Three Horseshoes every 4th Wednesday which is a little closer to home.

Anyone attend this? I'll endeavour to make the April meet...

Hagerty insurance have invited me along to Silverstone for the 'Drive it Day' although I haven't actually recieved the paperwork yet....
