I am replacing the chrome trim that surrounds the headlamp aperture on my S2.

Where the two sections meet at the front there is a chromed cover plate and then a chromed screw to hold it all in position. One of mine is clearly not original.

My preferred supplier of choice (SNGB) simply send out SS self tappers which are not correct. I tried Richard Smith as I thought it was 'his sort of part' but to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas who else may supply the correct chromed screw?

If I recall this is a self tapper(?), I have been on the hunt for chrome screws and self tappers for some time and they are like 'rockin horse …...'.

I am told that health and safety have virtually put an end to production of chrome screws etc in the UK. You can still get them from the USA and Europe but the cost of postage makes it uneconomical. However there is one last ray of hope at the websites below. The guy I spoke to at Namrick was most helpful although he pointed me back to the website to order from there, there is also a second site which just may have an odd one or two, but they are also good for all the little clips and trim clips, that's Bresco.

Hope you can find something at one of these two other wise we may need to get someone in the US to act as a courier.
