Hi,
S3 V12 Roadster
Could anyone give me a dimension of how far a exhaust should protrude or not beyond the bumper???
I ask as a health report i got mentioned the exhaust should be extended a bit to stop fumes coming into the car, and indeed they do a little.

Hi Bob
Sealing entry paths is more likely to stop exhaust gas entering the car than any practical extension to the exhaust exit point. It might be feet rather than inches to get the exhaust to exit beyond the recirculation zone behind the car.
Have a look at these posts.

Thanks Bob that's a big help.
Just got the car back after 4 weeks in that Bridgenorth place.
Carbs have been reset. A very short run around when it was delivered back I never noticed (but wasn't paying much attention) to "the fumes".
I will take it out today for a good run and do the testing. Fingers crossed it might be ok. :salute:
