#1 A year ago, when things were different

I had taken my car to the first of several breakfast meets. We have ....er.... had, lots around here. Haynes, Goodwood, and Wilton Wakeup, hosted by our local big wig the Earl of Pembroke who resides in Wilton House. The young Earl is a proper petrolhead, and used to run an annual Sunday/Weekend bash on his lawn for classics and Supercars/Hypercars. He owned a Veyron at the time, and had been quite a tasty racing driver.
Anyway, on this day last year, a Sunday, loads of us met at his gaff for a coffee and dirty breakfast. The car scrubbed up quite nicely. I think it was also the Bicester Scramble day.

Lots of other meetings will not be happening. Friday evenings in Poole, Sunday afternoons in Bournemouth, Simply meetings at Beaulieu, gatherings of Jaguars at the Fleet Air Arm Museum Yeovilton, and Sammy Millers Museum at New Milton. I guess that one day we will be allowed to enjoy these frivolities again, maybe with strict social distancing, maybe we will all wear masks and carry bottles of hand wash/rub, and maybe one day we will be able to greet old friends with a warm and friendly handshake, air kisses and hugs.
Maybe.
