Car insurance

Hi there
Not sure if there’s anyone who can help me, with some advice.
I am restoring my Etype S1 and need to insure it. But it’s in parts engine. Gearbox, IRS. Ive rebuilt all of them plus other stuff. Body been striped down and doing repairs on tub bonnet etc getting ready to do spraying. But Adrian flux say they won’t insure it as it’s not in one piece, all together.
Anyone know of an insurer who will insure my restoration.

When I was in a similar situation, Footman James insured my car but it was a few years back and the situation may have changed.

Mine's insured by Hagerty with off the road/restoration cover and agreed value.

Sent them photographs of the car and major components. The cover is good and includes trailering to workshops etc.

Great people to deal with too.

I’ve been insured with Classicline for years. Always been great prices, agreed value and breakdown included. I believe they also do laid up cover.

The reply from Louis Myor , who has never posted before, is nonsense. Most of the insurers will give off the road cover for restorations

Classicline gave me laid up insurance during my restoration based on the purchase price of the car and the cost of the parts already installed. I increased the cover as the project progressed.

Heritage have for many years insured my TR250, which is in bits. In addition it’s stored in a Council lockup which also houses a large amount of spares I’ve managed to accumulate over the period.
So to echo Christopher’s sentiment-total rubbish from someone who is in all likelihood a spammer.

on Hagerty as well. Excellent to deal with, no hassle on agreed value vs one or two other brokers, competitive and I got 90 days European cover (8 week trip to southern Spain). Laid up cover no problem.

In response to any obstacle in obtaining a CMTPL policy, demand a written reasoned refusal. Any verbal statements of the insurer record on a video or dictaphone. Suppose he is so arrogant that he will refuse. In that case, this is the reason to go with the paper to the insurance company's management or directly to the supervisory authorities. There seems to be a marked increase in these a***hole spammers recently.
Is there some way to make it more difficult for them to start posting? Maybe a brief questionnaire to fill in or something similar on signing up.
Can anyone explain what the point of them joining is?

You dont get to see many of them....the admin team usually delete them very quick......however i do leave a few if im not really sure...like for example the one 2 posts above....is it really spam?.....best advice is dont reply to them or post about spammers or put up notifications we then have more posts to get rid of( the spam post and the reporting post)...Steve
