This might be silly question, but I couldn't find a complete and satisfying answer. I own a 1971 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 and I was wondering what is the best fuel (RON) to use or what combination of fuel and additives is the best. I would appreciate if I can also have the names of these products.

Thank you very much!

hi
Just use 95RON as the minimum.
My owners handbook specifies minimum 98RON.
However I have always used 95RON with no visible adverse effects when I rebuilt the engine, after 20 years of use. Maybe if you intend to race, or drive like a race driver then 98 would be best, otherwise 95.
I have never used any additives, the engine does not require any. The valve seats are already hardened and non lead gasoline is fine.
Cheers

Assuming you have a UK spec engine which has 9.1:1 comp ratio then 95RON (Uk RON not US RON) will be suitable. If it has the lower compression ratio engine that went to the US (7.9:1???) then 91 RON would be OK.

I believe the letters at the end of engine number indicate whether hi (SA??) or low comp (??)
