Thatdoesn't look like a casting to me . I think it is a fabricated part and I would expect that any decent welding shop will be able to make you another provided you can get either a pattern or a drawing to work from

I stand corrected, on further inspection it is fabricated and welded steel.

Thanks, had the engine out couple of years ago for a rebuild and at the same time tidied everything up and fitted new modern fans, disappointed with the exhaust manifolds as the coating is cracking and falling off, otherwise very pleased.

Hi Simon
do you run 3 fan belts or 2 on your series 2, also does the return hose for the power steering return to the centre connection or the outer connection on the fluid reservoir, i have a rubber elbow on the back of the pump does this go back to the fluid reservoir if so what size pipe is this as mine has a reducer on the elbow, hope this makes sense and you can help many thanks Ron.

Hi Ron, With PAS fitted you run 3 belts, the PAS pump is run off the crankshaft using an additional pulley bolted to the existing pulley. The hose from the rear of the pump goes to the outer connection (the one marked 2-68 in the photo) and is 1" (outside dimension) hose, these pics may help.
