Hello,
I have become a very proud owner of 1969 E-Type. The condition of the car demands some attention but it is alright. I do have one major question though, do you know if and where I can buy an original Jaguar paint? Is there even a catalog of original paint colors? The color of my car is burgundy and I would love to restore it as close to the original as possible.

Google classic car paint suppliers will get plenty of hits.

Most classic car body shops should be able to get the colour you need.

My experience is that if the car has been resprayed over the years you are wasting your time with standard paint codes especially with opalescent paint, as the respray is likely to be an interpretation of the original colour. You’ll need someone with a high level of skill who is prepared to put the time into mixing and spraying samples til you find an exact (as possible) match. [ unless you’re spraying the whole car!]
