I have been offered to buy a bonnet where only the middle section is damaged, probably hit something straight on. Side wings are not damaged. It come from an old renovation where the owner bought a new one and got this over. He’s now quite old so he’s selling his car and all parts he’d had left over from the renovation.
Is there any value in this and what would a proper price be?
The seller asks 2000 euro for the bonnet and the Crome bumbers.
I don’t need it but it would be a shame if it ended up in the scrapyard.

Peter : the price is is, in my opinion, an absolute joke. If there is any value in this bonnet, it probably only lies in the right hand wing and even that may be twisted. The left hand wing almost certainly has its flanges twisted or torn by the impact even if its wheelarch and rearwards panel is undamaged . A significant amount of the cost of a new bonnet when fitted lies in the fact that each bonnet needs to be tailored to the car it is attached to, and this is why damaged bonnets have very little value because the amount of work needed to get them right rises exponentially

A second hand bonnet needing repair is difficult to price. It could have rust and filler all over it . A skilled metal worker can repair anything though so it depends on the work required . So its too difficult to say what this bonnet is worth without much more comprehensive photos.

I was afraid of that, he thinks it’s worth much more than it is.
He also selling his S2 69 FHC and it’s priced way to high.
