The floor board handle in my 1970 FHC is peeling it’s chrome. Alternatives include re-plating or renewing the handle itself. I am surprised by the cost of a replacement through the recognised suppliers ( part No. 215118) at a cost of over £70 for such a small item.
Question.....is there an alternative source? Or any forum member have a surplus one they would be willing to sell?

It's a quite complex small brass part with very small screws,all of which is chrome plated, so probably worth the money IMO. It would take me a number of hours to make one.
I do have an old one but mine is also peeling chrome. Replating sounds like the most cost effective option.
