#1 My E Type is due next week. Cannot wait

Post by Tony » Wed Jul 21, 2010 11:26 pm

I hope to pick up my car next week, so I am getting very excited. I have not included any pictures as the car is not technically mine yet.
One of you will know the car I am talking about as you put me onto it. It is 1962 Series 1 roadster in red with biscuit interior. Was a left hand drive, converted and fitted with a 5 speed box and uprated brakes etc

It is in excellent condition with really nice fitting panels and has done approx 5000miles since the rebuild.

Cannot wait to change my signature.

Just think red roadster with Suffolk and Turley Hood, frame stripped and blasted then powder coated in correct colour and rebuilt with stainless steel fasteners. Bas trimmed seats and consoles. Yeah, you should be ok!

Thanks for the comments and support. It's getting closer, next Tuesday with a bit of luck.

One of the biggest worries is where the hell do you park it without a door banges parking next to you. Sounds stupid, I know but I am sure I will get over it.

My wife and children always complains I park miles away from the super market entrance to avoid people parking next to me. It is now going the 10 time worse.

But that's life

I parked my car in a completely empty and distant part of a supermarket and came back to find cars parked either side. I asked one of the drivers why they had decided to do that given the many empty spaces. She said she had been told to always park next to an expensive car as thieves would choose to break into it rather than her car.
