Can anyone recommend a decent security system for my series 3 . I would like one that has app connectivity and tracking facility.

I researched this about 2 years ago when I needed my one and went for the Back2You solution as I wanted a subscription free, long life battery covert fit working of a mobile app.It can also live track and also geo-fence.
This does the job very well and and has worked very well and I have no connection with the company, just a happy customer.
Just one word of warning, these cellular trackers are only as good as the mobile phone coverage, therefore if your etype is in a metal box like a container, they are useless
so use it in conjunction with other manual methods to disable the car as well.

I use global telemetrics as well. Paid a one off fee for fitting and lifetime monitoring. Good app on the Iphone.
