#1 Is this off an etype?

Hi guys,
Found this on my shelf of bits it’s says Daimler spares ,stone guard .I must have bought it at some time as it’s nos.
My car didn’t have one on it. I’m thinking oil filter protector?

Hi

I think that goes in the wheel arch to protect the vacuum tank on saloons. My 420 Sovereign has one that looks very much like that, part number C24913. £30 from the usuals.
