Hi all,

I am looking at a very nice series 2 FHC. I would like to convert it to RHD and am based in Kent. Please can anybody direct to a specialist somewhere in the SE who may be able to do it? I ok am aware of E Type UK. Great company. But was looking for maybe a smaller outfit matched to my budget!

Many Thanks

Why have you discounted E type UK.......have you talked over what you want had a price and thought it was too expensive?....Parts should be a very similar price where ever you go.....so then just labour.....If someone has done one before then their experiane will get the job done quicker.........Steve

Talk to ASM Classics. Expect to pay around £5k and that should include a new loom.

Many Thanks,

Will give ASM a ring. I already have a guideline quote from E Type UK.

To be honest I could do it myself, but keen to see how much it would cost commercially.

Thanks Again.

Do it yourself if you can, will save a lot of money
Its not really a hard job and you will really get to know your car along the way
And you will get to meet and talk to plenty of people willing to help you along on this forum

Many Thanks Joe and Gravy Grham,

I will definitely call Turner Classics for a chat. And yes, doing it myself may be a lot of fun and maybe a winter job next year.....

Thanks Again.

Must say I admire you skilled types! But maybe a winter job that becomes 2 winters? I'd pay the money and get it done sooner rather than later by someone who's done it before. But there again, I'm old, lazy, and lacking in engineering ability!

Another thought though: I nearly bought a left hooker with the idea of converting to RHD. However, pre-covid, I used to do more miles touring the continent than in this country. Probably 3000 miles plus in Europe Vs 2000 in the UK. So would it have been more sensible to leave it LHD for me?
