Looks like a interesting project to restore to original condition if it can be bought for the right money - no reserve at auction. Feb 62, 2 owner, 71000 miles (not verified) UK Henlys car, matching numbers ? lots of bits wrong but ....................

No connection either !

Looks like another bitsa to me
Would need a lot more scrutiny to confirm which bits are original,if any

Rev counter redlined from 5000 to 6000. I thought the 3.8s redlined from 5500 to 6500? Wrong rev counter?

4.2 brake servo and 3 or 4 pot calipers and pedal box . 4.2 cantrail crash padding around quarterlights S2 chrome finishers at dash ends 4.2 grab handle . Boot board S2 also I think. Lots of filler in this car - whatever they say.

Barrie

edit - 4.2 fuel pick up plate and non in-tank pump (out of sight of course)

The 71,000 miles quoted is also on a 4.2 speedometer (vertical bars between the digits on the trip-meter) so that is also not part of the "early 3.8". That might also explain the 4.2 radiator, the 4.2 gearknob, the non-standard heater controls, the late 3.8/early 4.2 ash-tray/radio console, centre cubby box, glovebox door, the groove topped carb air intake etc. It also has hardura on top of the fuel tank which, I believe was a 4.2 addition. I also struggled to see the car number on the picture frame close-up.

On the plus side, it has the non-scalloped straight rear bulkhead.
