Next to the E i am working on a XK 140 (nuts and bolts restoration ....!) and my question is about the BIRCH GREY color that i want to keep as it was its birth color !
I have the original chemistry formulation By " DUPONT" AXALTA or PPG NEXA AUTOCOLOR but no one around here can indicate the present formulation !
May be someone here can ?

Yves : those are definitely not the original formulations, as the Dupont is clearly for a 2 pack paint, and I suspect the PPG is also with its "adjuster" added. For a 140 what you need is the original cellulose formulation as Jaguar had gone over ( about 1951 as I recall ) to cellulose from enamel well before the introduction of the 140

#8 Re: birch grey ?
I found my data on this an comment from Roger Payne who was comparing it to the original swatches.
So, the RM Formula is:
SC01 93.0 gr
SC90 513.9 gr
SC25 926.9 gr
SC10 1076.1 gr
SC67 1108.3 gr
SC46 1123.5 gr
Roger's comments were as follows::
Zofelac Match - quite different
Synthetic Match - good match, although too glossy.
If you want to go for the original, try the RM.
I have produced sets of swatches few years ago, but they are all gone - I have one set left for myself.
