Barrie and I have just been to the Hutson Motor Company to collect a windsreen and a few bits, well what a pleasant surprise! Met Andy Rayner who could not have been more helpful, very knowledgeable re anything E-Type, gave us all the time to speak and guide us that we wanted, as well as a tour of the worksop! Cannot recommend them highly enough as previously having been in the vehicle body trade myself, and looking at how they were assembling various body parts/shells, I was impressed with the equipment used, the finish to the vehicles, and the skills of the workforce.

It was also a school day for me! In another thread about fitting front screens, I described the way I have fit them from my first in 1972! Andy explained the E-Type method and why allowing me to look at cars iwith the screens in and out without trim fitted. I will update the thread titled: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17542 .. I cannot praise Hutsons highly enough - they were lovely people to deal with all through the rebuild of my FHC

Did you go in the woodworking shop ?

Didn't notice the woodworking shop, we only went to collect the screen and a few bits but ended up spending a couple of hours there! so seemed a little cheeky to have taken so much of his time up.

Andy could not be more helpful. Lovely guy.

If still looking for a screen fitter in Surrey I have used Old School Windscreens, near Chobham. Excellent service.
