All E-Types are exempt from London’s ULEZ, but they have to pay the congestion charge.

Quite right, since crowds gather whenever one shows up...

Yes exempt from ULEZ charge, but you have to register them as historic on their website. Otherwise they will show as chargeable.

And on 6th November, quite a lot of them will show up, as Regent Street hosts another classic car day. 8am til 4pm. There will be an exhibit of selected E-Types, apparently, to mark its 60th birthday.

I've just checked and mine is only showing as requiring congestion charge. Do they automatically pick up historic status from the DVLA?

Just checked mine again and it says chargeable at £12.50 per day. But if you register it with TFL it will then come up as exempt due to historic status.

Mine showed as chargable so I used the contact form on their website and questioned it. After a couple of weeks they sent me an email with a letter confirming that I am exempt from the ULEZ.

Might be worth you doing the same, so that you have it in writing. I didn't register with them.

I have never registered with TFL for ULEZ exemption but, when I go onto the website, I get the following on the screen:

ULEZ.JPG
ULEZ.JPG (173.95 KiB) Viewed 2103 times

It clearly shows nothing payable other than the congestion charge. I do wonder whether there is a baseline DVLA datafeed and if you have a historic taxation class, it will automatically assign this to the status.
