I'm looking to source a new replacement fuel tank for a Series 1 and there appear to be quite a number of suppliers of both steel and galvanised versions.
As they do seem to vary wildly in price across the various suppliers I was wondering if anyone could offer any tips on quality and value for money?
Many thanks

One of the most important considerations is that the replacement tank should be properly and accurately sized. As you have probably by now found out (!!) , the tank is a very snug fit indeed, and any oversize in any one of the 3 dimensions will lead to enormous difficulties in fitting. A detailed check on the exact dimensions of the replacement is thus very important

Ed...i would go with SNGB......becaus if you run into trouble fitting they have great customer service.....i do know that they had an entire shipment of tanks returmed to their supplier recently. ...so there must be some dodgy tanks out there. ......Steve
