Hi all

I am cleaning up the gauges on my S2 and now I have them in pieces (maybe foolishly) I am struggling to source the rubber seals to rebuild. The seal between the bezel and the glass.

Mine could not be described as rubber any more - more lumps of substance! That said, 52 years old so they have done a shift.

Has anyone sourced any recently please? The eBay link on a relevant post on the forum no longer works.

If it helps, when I re-sealed my gauges, I purchased a length of appropriate diameter neoprene, and cut and superglued the ends to form a circle. A little extra work, but perfectly acceptable for the application, and very cost effective. Just a thought...

I used Danbury Hydraulics too and was delighted with the quality of the seals.

An interesting issue when reassembling and refitting this afternoon.

The clock on my car is powered through the loom. One of the loom connectors was too small to fit over the tab on the back of the clock. It must have been attached by being pushed on between the plastic insulator and the tab. Has worked for 52 years so put it back exactly the same way.

Interesting though as definitely factory original (owned the car since 1973). It never ceases to surprise.
