Dear All
After two years of effort and a couple of trips to the US I finally assembled sufficient proof of my S1 FHC original registration to satisfy the DVLA. The car 860084 was exported to the US in 1962 and remain in RHD format through its life, returned in 2000’s and restored. Now registered ODX950.
I am now facing the daunting task of removing the front stick on plate ! Anyone any advice on this?
Thanks
Kevin

I believe fishing line/dental floss can be used to remove badges - don't see why this wouldn't help with the number plate adhesive using appropriate 'sawing' action...

As Steve says.
Warm it up and pull on the plate gently. Pull firmly but slowly, take your time to ensure you do not rip the plate. When you have it off, use the plate to remove any glue which has stayed on the bonnet by dabbing the sticky side onto it and pulling off sharply. Don't press the plate down or spread it by rubbing, just dab and pull in succession. You should get all the glue off like that. Else a suitable gentle solvent like paraffin or white spirit should dissolve the glue, wipe with a clean rag.

Nice on a black body as you only see the white letters!
