#1 Wilmot Breeden catalogue of parts

Greetings to the members of the Forum. I don't own an E-type although I lived with my brother for awhile when he owned a 1974 E-Type in the late 1970's.
I own two original AC Shelby Cobras and I am helping research information for a publication of details of the Mark I and Mark II Cobras. Cobras had a variety of Wilmot Breeden parts, including the bonnet latches, trunk latch and glove box latch.
I am trying to discover the Wilmot Breeden part numbers for these particular parts and I found a discussion on this forum regarding the Wilmot Breeden parts on E-Types.
I am hoping that forum members can help me if they have a Wilmot Breeden catalogue from the 1960's that they can share with me via photos or if someone has or knows of a source to purchase a catalogue or copy of one.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Jim Maxwell, Greensboro, NC USA (Cobra owner since 1987)

Jim, welcome to the forum, especially when you know how to spell catalogue, though we must point out that elephants have trunks, cars don’t. I could suggest I have all the information you need but will only release it when you buy an E Type
I wish I could help you, but otherwise good luck with your search. There are a few older car locksmiths who have the data for Wilmot Brendon locks, if no-one on here can help maybe they may be able to give you information?

Good luck

Geoff

Geoff, Please pardon my error of referring to the boot as a trunk. I did get bonnet and catalogue correct!
I erred in stating my brother's E-Type was a 1974. He corrected me stating it was a 1968 4.2L, yellow with tan interior.
The bonnet latches are my main concern, so if anyone knows information regarding those Wilmot Breeden latches that would be a great help.

Hi Jim

I have been collecting various catalogues over the years relating to E-Type's but so far a WB one has eluded me. If I do find one I will scan it and add it to the Forum Knowledge Base for download: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=700

If it is of any help the successors of Wilmot Breeden are Weston Body Hardware Ltd and still in business with a pretty complete library of original catalogues. Certainly worth contacting them and if you do get anything useful maybe you can share it here. WB supplied Jaguar with brightwork for the pre-war SS cars and the Jaguar leapers for a time. On the E-Type they supplied the 'budget' locks for the first 500 cars, ignition keys throughout production and the optional locking petrol filler cap.
