Mad, but reasonable entertainment through buying the cheapest marque vehicles in the US and then fixing them. He has a large collection of cars funded by his YouTube channel and, it seems, by inheriting his grandfathers hidden collection of cars (MB Gullwing, various '60's Ferrari's etc). Nice review of the E-Type though and you can see what a 3.54 does for burning rubber.

The dumbest car buyer on youtube.
Not being rude, that’s what he says
Google him and look for the video where he does a tour of his current car ownership. 30-40 cars inc some interesting stuff. He always buys the cheapest (or nearly) of a particular model and inevitably there are loads of things he has to put right with help from the Weeezard (Car Wizard). Never seen him go near an Etype before

Well Hoovie makes quite a bit of dough from his channel and is very will known as a Youtuber. He is very talented.
This film went live a day ago and has has a view rate almost 5 times as much as his other films and has had almost 3,000 comments already.
Goes to show the enduring popularity of the E type.
Looking at the rust, I suspect he will end up doing a bit more than he thinks he will. That kind of rust looks like inside-out rust to me.
However, that doesn't matter as I think he got a bargain and its all repairable- well done Hoovie.

I started watching this but found him extremely irritating so gave up on it.
Old fart syndrome?
At least he may be spreading the word to younger generations so that's all good.

This is like a video of watching someone unbox something. It’s probably not even called a video anymore.
I’m perfectly capable of wasting my own time without losing 18 minutes of my life on that.

It will get even more interesting when he pops in to the 'Wiiizzard' for his take on it as he is known to adore British classics.

To be honest, I skipped through it a bit - however, actually thought it was good compared to much of the E-type rubbish on you tube.
At least he was giving it some beans, and the filming was good.

For all that, I would have bought it had it been offered to me and I would still be happy with it, even with a huge oil leak.
Good purchase Hoovie. Fantastic car.
I would definitely change those footwells. I bought a pair 2 weeks ago, they are less than £50 each.

Naugahyde upholstery
"American brand of artificial leather composite of a knit fabric backing and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic coating. It was developed by United States Rubber Company, and is now manufactured and sold by Uniroyal Engineered Products. Its name, first used as a trademark in 1936, comes from the Borough of Naugatuck, Connecticut, where it was first produced. Uniroyal asserts that Naugahyde is one of the most popular premium pleathers."

Naugahyde was developed to replace the North American native species Naugas after they were commercially hunted to extinction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. There remains but a few of the original hides from the Naugas, most of them in museum collections. Obviously those original hides are eye wateringly expensive so most restorers resort to using the faux material.

Looks like Hoovie’s E type experience was short lived. Now sold and judging by the number of other sales, all is not well in the Hoovie Garage 🫤
