Steve, you make it all the way over to Angus’s for his open day, you’d have thought he could do the same and get over to your end of the world

I notice that the scuba diving show has moved into Stoneleigh that weekend, when it always used to be in the NEC. Are these places charging too much, especially the NEC for parking, that visitors have given up going?
Is that, though no the parking fee at Stoneleigh, the reason for the move to Malvern?

Geoff

Beware there's an Antiques and Collectors Fair at Malvern on the same day. Don't end up at the wrong event

Way too far to travel for a social day out, and the days of finding reasonably priced treasure are long gone.

Absolutely agree, the cost of travel and a 50% hike in entrance fee.
No longer for me.

I am in 2 minds about it….the distance isn’t an issue as it’s about the same for me in Surrey…and even the entrance fee can be maintained at £10 by booking on line…it’s more whether there will be many traders in attendance…always the 64,000 dollar question…I spoke with Stuart at Coventry Auto Spares as I need more things for the XK I am restoring and he wasn’t intending to go..and neither did he think we’re a number of other traders
Possibly an unfair question….but Is there any way of getting some idea if it will be well attended..?

I do have a little giggle when Etype owners complain about a £15 entrance fee🤭

A 50% increase ! Totally unjustified.
As is the assumption that all e type owners are mug enough to pay it !

I sold some items through the forum recently and donated half the selling price to charity. So it’s not just a need to be tight fisted. But I won’t be taken advantage of.

Hi guys,

Its a shame that they have moved the venue and I won't be going - too far and not a particularly pleasant journey.

Cheers,

Richard

Having looked at the map, this is not such a good journey as previously. I would prefer it if they split the venues across the two Spares Day events; one southern and one northern.

With any of these events you cant please everyone......I live west.....so a northern or southern venue would then be further for me.......but i would still go to both......Steve

The new venue at Malvern is not far from me so I will give it a go. If it’s poor then there is always the Antique and flea market which is reasonably good anyway.
