Hi I am close to finishing a 1965 FHC that i took on as a project from a bare shell. The car was taken apart over twenty years ago when all of the nuts and bolts and trim were thrown away. It has been a major job just working out what was needed . The main problem was in which order to do things , I.E. fitting rear bumpers before fitting fuel tank. ( which had to have rust treatment inside E 10 compliant)
Of all the books (ten of) the owner has including the full workshop manual none tell you this. Also apart from this forum and you tube there is no mention of fitting interior.

This book has been mentioned many times on the forum...lots of detail of stripping and rebuilding and plenty on the interior...in my opinion a must have if your doing a full rebuild....Steve

Not many 1965 restorations seem to feature on the forum. It would be great to see a few photos.
Is it a UK car?

I have found the Classic Motor Cars/David Barzilay book particularly helpful when it comes to the interior trim. Very informative in terms of materials, techniques and sequence of assembly.

It would have been far easier for Bryan if he had started a restoration thread in our restoration section...members could have seen the progress if he had posted photos and helped along the way.....it would also have provided a record for future members/restorers....Steve

Hi Steve, your comments are very valid .
I responded a couple of times to the questions by the OP and referred to the books mentioned in this thread. In the end I didn’t bother any further ( not that I am particularly knowledgeable) but constantly asking for help without any feedback didn’t seem to warrant further assistance.

Hi mgcjag! Many thanks for sharing it. Such info is one of the reasons I finally decided to reguster here.
