Hi gents,
I have been trying to open Chris Vine's webpage, "E-Type Rebuild by category" and keep getting the error message, etype.chrisvine.com HTTP ERROR 500 and the page obviously won't open. Has anybody else found this problem and if so, have you found a solution?
I think the Error Code HTTP 500 may well be at Chris' end. I have no way of contacting him but some other member on here may be able to help.
Many thanks and kind regards.
George

George, I’d seen the same problem and had waited to see if it cleared. Obviously not. It’s a very useful website and I could wish it was hosted on here if Chris isn’t keeping it going.

Hi Geoff,
Yes I agree, a most valuable source of information. Hopefully someone who is able to contact Chris will see our posts and get it up and running again.
Yours aye,

Hi Steve,
Not having much luck. Got his profile but cannot get his email address. When I click on "send Chris an email" I am presented a page which still requires me to insert his email address. The only address I have returns the HTTP ERROR 500 message. Any other ideas?
Many thanks.

If you just want to look something up on his (apparently now inaccessible) website, you can access it via the Internet Archive which has preserved many snapshots of its contents.

Hi Steve and Michael,
Many thanks for your help. I have checked the archive and the link works great. I will also send Chris a PM to see if he can somehow sort out the Error at his end.
Many thanks.
George

George, searching for him I’ve found that Chris is an experienced leather worker, bespoke leather goods and repairs, with a Facebook page. If you search for him there you may find that could be a way of contacting him.
This looks like a page for him also:

Good luck

Hi Gents,
Yep, I can confirm that Chris's blog is back up and running. Brilliant news and such a relief for all of us who have used his blog on a regular basis.
Many thanks to all who responded to my initial post and for all the suggestions. At least this valuable resource is available again to us all.
Season's Greetings to you all and kindest regards,
George
