#1 4.2 engine physical dimensions

Post by alunwill » Tue Dec 24, 2024 3:15 pm

Just bought a series 1 project. I'll be collecting the bits in the new year.

Does anyone have the physical dimensions of the engine to enable me to make an engine cradle for transportation.

Yes the car is in bits. Body restored but everything else to do.

Many thanks

Easiest way to move one is on its side....it easily fits on a standard pallet.....Steve

many thanks for the replies. It's just had a complete refurb before I bought it so prefer to keep it vertical. Dimensions provided will be a great help.

Just pushing my luck a bit, but does anyone know what angle the engine mount brackets face-off at. Thought I'd brace it from these points down to the pallet with a bit of suitably cut 4x2.

many thanks
