#1 Home made valve spring compressor

Post by Iansparky » Thu Apr 04, 2024 11:02 am

Hi All
This is what I made for removing the valves from my head, I 1st made the wooden board as per the Bentley manual for the head to sit on, then on my lathe i bored a 40mm length of 25mm steel to 30mm deep, threaded the solid end m8, then after milling the slots i assembled it as shown on the lengths of steel. It works well if a little slow, a 13mm ratchet spanner would help but it does the job.
Thanks for looking
Ian
