So on a pleasant day it was time to do something I’ve had on my mind for a while.
I’ve been conscious that I should get some cavity wax in place. Since I don’t trust many people I decided to DIY.
I’ve got a small compressor and first thoughts were to use cans and the appropriate gun. However on inspection my compressor isn’t up to the job so I thought to use aerosol cans.
I purchased 8 cans of Dinitrol ML along with a lengthy spray tube. Using the diagram on jag lovers I was only interested in the sills, A +B post plus rear bulkhead. Dinitrol recommend a further coat of black wax over this so I may do that later.
So I’ve used all 8 cans, at least 2 -3 cans in each sill and I was pleased to see it dripping out from the vent holes. The long tube supplied sprays in a star pattern which sounds useful.
Hopefully it will hold off the corrosion for awhile.
By the way if you decide to do this then the rubber plugs are much cheaper on eBay than from Dinitrol
