My 67 OTS confirms that the seals in the wheel arches were in place originally, at least at the end of series 1. I found one folded (for some reason) flange but this picture shows the rest of a rubber seal between this flange and the rear wing pan:
This I reproduced upon restoration recently, using swimming pool rubber liner:
pinched by the flange, itself being pop riveted against the arch wall:
I must grant Chuck from Moncoque Metalwork for explaining me about all this as I could not find the know how in the usual manuals.
