#1 Drive it Day

Post by chrisfell » Sun Apr 27, 2025 11:25 am

Sunny warm day, so everyone was out today. Besides the thousands of bikers that flock to this section of the A30, this morning’s haul of other DID participants included:
Frog Eye Sprite
MGB roadster
MG TF
Non descript kit car in BRG
Lotus Elan
TR6
Pre war Bentley
Plus loads of clubs, such as a procession of yellow Mustangs.

I as out with the JDC. Overnight stay and visited the McAlpine private railway collection on the fawley estate near Henley - fantastic stuff on display, and a ride on his steam train.

Out in Derbyshire over the weekend, albeit in the Lexus, and came across a Morris 1100, Austin 1100, two TVR's and several 911's. With the benefit of time I have to say the 1100's are a truly beautiful design especially in amongst modern cars.
