E-type S1 in Cotswold blue

I personally love this colour, but have only seen it on XKs.
Was ?t available on early E-types as well?
Would look good with a red or dark blue interior and soft top/hood (black for red interior and dark blue for a dark blue interior I suppose).

Interestingly, I have only ever seen one, and that was at Donington on the 40th Anniversary . Strangely, on the XK ( and indeed the mark 2) I thought it was a stunning colour, but on the E it looked very dull compared with Opalescent Silver Blue . I think that its lack of popularity speaks volumes . Incidentally, don't be misled by certain cars on XKE data which are described as Cotswold but which are , in fact , OSB

There is currently a SII roadster in Cotswold Blue for sale in Switzerland. Not the worst colour I've seen on E-Types.

Peeblebrox illustrates the very warning I gave in my earlier post : the Swiss car he refers to is NOT Cotswold Blue, but the later, Series 2, Light blue, which is a markedly different colour . For those who have never seen Cotswold Blue, it is very close to (British) Air Force Blue , and is a distinctive blue-grey colour with the accent being on the blue but a very definite grey tinge

The late XKs came in Indigo blue, which I believe is "much" lighter than the Dark blue used by Jaguar in their 60s cars, be it E, S, Mk2 or the Mk10/420G. This is virtually black in some lighting conditions.
Or were their different shades of Dark blue....?

Indigo Blue and Dark Blue are very close and both are far darker than the pale blue colours being discussed. I've had an E-type in Indigo and currently an OTS in Dark Blue that should be Opalescent Silver Grey, a 2+2 in OSG under the bonnet that is now repainted mid blue outside, and an FHC that is its original Dark Blue under the bonnet but yucky red elsewhere else.
