Eagle have announced production of their Speedster concept.

Beautiful car and a model Jaguar could have released back in the day much as Porsche did with their 356. It could have been so easy - alloy bonnet/doors/bootlid, cut down windscreen, no hood, no bumpers, stripped interior, US market only.

Maybe Marek H should stiff them for copyright infringement on the recessed indicators idea

It's just not my cup of tea, even if I could afford it. Eagle seem to have an obsession with cutting down the windscreen. Given that even the normal OTS windscreen only comes up to my nostril level , I cannot see what use a cut down one would be at all. The whole problem with Es is that you really cannot improve on the looks of the S1, and why spend a great deal of money on what is in fact just another kit car?

Christopher

Probably because there is a demand although it is unlikely to come from the likes of Forum members. Certainly the US have a strong 'customisation' culture and nearer to home Germany and Switzerland seem to like this sort of stuff. It is undeniably pretty though and if it keeps the E-Type in the media limelight and penetrates the consciousness of the iPhone generation it can be no bad thing. I have no doubt we will see it on Top Gear and in all the motoring press so for that we must applaud Henry Pearman and Paul Brace - two complete E-Type die hards who wear their heart on their sleeves 8)
