LOL. What a brilliant sales pitch. Contains parts of E2A and 005! Simply have to have one! (Not).

Fascinating. I wonder which parts of E2A and of 885005 have gone into the cases, and whether the 2 cars' owners know about it ? A fool and his money .......

There are genuine 'parts' right enough, but they don't specify which parts. My money is on slivers of an old disc pad backing plate, or swarf collected when they drilled out a spot weld somewhere.

The aforementioned 'parts' were then melted down into a tiny ingot with 'MUG' cast in bas-relief . That was subsequently used in the manufacture of an inconsequential non-functioning widget.

To find these souvenirs in each watch, just leave it in a humid bathroom overnight. Next morning, two second's work with a magnifier will reveal the Browns Lane cuckoo in the Swiss movement nest. Look for the tell-tale rusty washer under the glass back.

Oddly I suggested this idea to Nick Goldthorpe at CMC when he was showing me the blue box of ally body bits left over from restoring the Lindner Lightweight. I pointed out Bremont had released a watch with bits from a Spitfire and Mr Neumark might consider approaching them with the idea. http://www.bremont.com/limited_EP120.php

At least Bremont tried to capture some of the essence of the Spitfire as did Bavarian-Chrono with their interpretation of the E-Type watch:

This latest offering though leaves me puzzled:

All of them look tacky to me.

The Bavrian Chrono 'speedo' watch would look nicer with a thin black bezel, slightly dented, and with some dust inside a cracked glass. Oh, and the minute hand should wobble and the odo numbers should either go backwards or not line up quite right :-)

STOP PRESS** Apparently the original leather seat covers from E2A are being made into posing pouches. Think what a great conversation piece it would make!
