Sorry if this is 'old hat' but it is the first time I have seen it in any detail, the newsletter relates to proposed legislation concerning replacement modifications.

Ahh bless - we can always rely on the EU to make our lives better!

I can see the legislation being helped through by all those owners of totally original classic cars who will see their values soar. Nothing like a bit of greed to get things moving. It will be interesting to see how deep the legislation will dig - tyres, wheels, seats, smaller (or removable) steering wheels, radios, silicone brake fluid, kevlar pads, air filters, LED lights ............................ I must dig out my old 4 speed gear lever knob 8)

Serendipity! I just read this:
"There is a little known set of proposals published by the Law Commission called The Private Hiring Legislation Provisional Proposals Law Commission Consultation Paper No. 203 (Reforming the law of Taxi and Private Hire Services). Hidden within these proposals is Proposal No. 11, a clause effectively making all vehicles and operators for wedding hire comply with requirements of a licensed operator the same as Taxis and Private Hire. If these proposals are allowed to go forward as legislation then the vast majority of Classic and Vintage wedding car companies across England and Wales would be forced out of business and simply cease to exist."
