They are XJ-S lattice wheels, or clones thereof, as I think the XJ-S ones did not have gold centres and polished rims from the factory. They were by Fondmetal (a French company?) rather than GKN who made the Kents and Starfish etc. It was a very popular look in the period and many wheel makers had a lattice in their catalogue.

There was another 16x8J version I prefer, with visible studs and a polished rim, used on the 93-94 XJ40 and 6.0L XJ-S around that time. I think for the XJ40 they were part of a 'SportsPak' option with stiffer anti roll bar etc.

There should be pictures of both in the Brochures section of this site.

Could they be Ronals???

Similar to late 80's X pack Astons??

Pretty sure they're not XJS wheels.....all the lattice XJS ones I've seen have exposed wheel nuts and no cover.

They are RW BBS copies made by RW Wheels in Belgium. What they fit is anyone's guess.

I would guess they are aftermarket wheels...BMW had that style of cover for a while.

I must have mis-remembered.

My 1984 XJ-S manual convertible had those wheels but they must have been aftermarkets - probably fitted by Banham when they did the chop conversion for a PO. I knew my 16s on the 93 XJ12 had the visible nuts and diamond-cut rim.

As the rims seem to have many markings, you could always try using braille, you must be good at that.

yes i like my own jokes

As someone else suggested, they are RW wheels, maybe off a Porsche 944 or similar.
