to be honest when I had my car painted the sprayer told me to NOT put a cover on the car as they dont breathe 100% and can lead to moisture damage. He said it was better to have an ordinary fan in the garage to circulate the air and to merely dust the car regularly.

To be fair so far he has been right - I get zero condensation on the paintwork and if I prop the bonnet open about 6" I get no condensation on the engine either... so it appears to work.

I've bought from these people and been very happy with the results and the service:

My current cover is a Sahara indoor cover and seems very good and inexpensive. The Softech covers are more luxurious, and custom fitted - but correspondingly more expensive too. My Sahara cover is for something other than an E-type so I can't actually vouch for the E-type fit, but they do list two Sahara options: OTS and 2+2 FHC (both with a choice of 6 cyl or V12 body).

I thought I would add something to the discussion on car covers and throw in another element. I keep my E in an Airchamber but do not circulate the air. I do not run the fans and seal the whole thing up. Inside the chamber I have placed a dehumidifier which I run for a set time each day on an autoswitch. All the windows on the car are kept down and the doors opened. Having not checked it for 2 weeks I checked everything this weekend and it's drier than the sahara in there. This is a stand alone garage so does not benefit from the integral warmth of the house. I dont understand the need for fans blowing cold damp air into the chamber when this seems to work even better. I'd be interested to hear from others on this.
