#1 E-Type series 2 2+2 in BBC drama 'Hattie'

Time for 'anorak' time. Recently came across a BBC TV drama one-off called 'Hattie', about the life of Hattie Jacques. Watching it I couldn't help notice the red E-Type shown, which was apparently a series 2 2 plus 2 model; it is driven by Hattie's love interest John Schofield. The story is set in 1961 of all things, which of course makes it the incorrect model for the time period. It beggers belief how the production team managed to use the wrong model, unless they didn't do their research or were that bothered about historical accuracy. Maybe the real John Schofield never had an E-Type and they just used any 60s sportscar and hope noone would notice. Does anyone know if he had an E-Type?

:o

Perhaps all they could get hold of at short notice. The production team obviously just thought "1961; E type; that will do"

That's what I was thinking, they probably just thought the 1960s and E-Type Jag.
