#1 Recently rescued 850107........

Post by Paul190H » Thu Jul 24, 2014 8:26 pm

Hi all my name is Paul and I thought I would register here and share the recent discovery of 850107. This early E type OTS has been stored in the back of a double garage (sideways on) since 1973.

The owner put it up on bricks, removed the sills for repair and then never carried out any further work. Car was wrapped in carpet, had a huge shelf built over it which was then piled up with junk.

Car is in need of restoration, sills are gone and part of passenger floor. Boot area, drivers floor and scuttle area all seem pretty solid. Bonnet is in good shape as is the hood and frame, also comes with a factory hard top.

Engine is correct R series engine but not the one it left the factory with. Gearbox and body are original to the car. The car is also pretty complete.

Have lots of photos I can upload if I can work out how.
Cheers
Paul.

David, the car is my brothers and until uncovered you don't know what condition they are in.

We are both passionate about cars and I have a 92 944 S2 rolling restoration on which I carry out most of the mechanical stuff but no bodywork.

This quite frankly is a whole different league in regard if skills, time and most certainly cost.

Paul.
