I have an S1 2+2. I have a genuine Spare Parts Catalogue for the 4.2 and have recently purchased a copy of a 'genuine' Spare Parts Catalogue for the 2+2 (J.38). One of the reasons I bought the J.38 copy was to look further into the difference between the door seals on an FHC and a 2+2 as, apart from being longer, the seals for a 2+2 have a different profile and fit differently, especially around the bottom of the windscreen area.
In the J37 catalogue, the seals are shown in a diagram ('plate') in the 'Body Fittings' section (plate 52, p 249) and which clearly shows the profile, fitting etc of all the door seals.
However the J38 catalogue has no diagrams for body fittings section - it has all the descriptions and part numbers but no diagrams. In the 'Index to Parts' at the front, it has a line through the 'Plate Number'. This seems strange as all the other sections all have plate numbers.
Does anyone know if this is as per the original 2+2 catalogue? The copy I have certainly seems to reflect the original in that it has all the preamble, published date (Jan 1967, amended Aug 1967) and it even has the price (?2 0s. 0d.).
If it is correct, can anyone steer me to a diagram showing the door seals on a 2+2?
Thanks.
