not sure if anyone else has seen this, think its the weirdest and most unusual take on an E-Type I have seen, wouldn't mind the Boss'9 motor for my Mustang though!

Not just bad taste, but nearly undriveable as well! The Ford 427 is close on to 200 lbs heavier than the 3.8 Jaguar fitted.
The weight balance and handling are thrown completely out-of-whack!
It was quite popular in the 1970's and 80's in the US to drop a Big Block engine into an E-Type and see what it could do. The answer was often, "Not much" because too many things had to be changed to fit a V8 inside the frame rails.

I've seen a lot of V-8 conversion here on the west coast, but very few that I thought were done well. Most involved compromising the structural integrity of the subframe, by cutting and relocating the upper tubes to accommodate the wider girth of the V-8s. What got really annoying was when I showed my '65 at local events, I'd always get the one guy advising me to replace the 4.2 with a small-block Chevy while rattling off a laundry list of deficiencies supposedly endemic to E-Types.mike837go wrote:Not just bad taste, but nearly undriveable as well! That's got to be worth the $100,000 asking price because it's got blue LEDs on the front of it :)
