blueprint drawings
#1 blueprint drawings
Can anyone enlighten me as to the availability of the large blueprint drawings I have seen at various places, the one in SNG Barratt showroom comes to mind. I would like to buy one for my Toy Cuboard preferably of the series One FHC.

Hi Andrew,
You could try here: http://www.the-blueprints.com/search/jaguar+e-type/
No connection other than I downloaded the occasional file from here myself.
Regards,
Jim

Thanks for that Jim. Looks interesting. Cannot see the actual factory blueprint I am after but will send them an e mail. Much appreciated though.

yes I did ask SNG but they were unsure where they had acquired it. It looked like an original to me. Nice thing, large poster size. thanks

Very decent BIN price, shame that shipping to Europe is about the same amount.
Wonder if the seller would send several in the same tube. I'm certainly interested in sharing if anyone else is interested. Then send individually by Royal Mail for a few quid.

Thank you Jonny, very good of you. Yes David, I am happy to share with you , do you want to ask the vendor? Also, can you ask whether he has the FHC drawing, which is the same format? excellent potentially

I've asked already about the shipping. Guess he's still in bed, given he's in Florida. I checked his "other listings" and he doesn't have a FHC, but I will ask him via e-mail.
Btw the other blueprints he has (e.g. the Mini) don't look quite as sharp, they seem to have greyed out (copy of a copy of a copy, etc). Luckily the E-type seems to be one of the best he has.

it doesn't say he has multiple copies of it, but I guess he copied them. The original ones I saw were on proper technical drawing paper which looked very good. thanks

The seller's awake. He doesn't have FHC prints, only the one shown on his eBay. He does have multiple copies and will send in one tube to cut postage.
Turns out the stunning idea of multiple copies in one tube and split the shipping didn't really save anything. The savings in the USD shipping get zero'd out by the Royal Mail internal UK postage. And that's before we've started to buy poster tubes, walk to the post office and hassle around with PayPal.
So it's actually simplest and quickest to go it on our (your) own. As just as cheap. Believe that if you will.

We can sort that out once they're in my hands, hope there's no customs charges. May take a while to get them in the post to you, depending on travels to/from UK. Hope you're not in a rush.

No customs charges provided sender puts 'documents' on the declaration form.
