#1 Moving parts between members

Post by tonyabacus » Sun May 24, 2015 9:37 am

Not sure on how viable my idea is so thought I would put it on the forum to see.

I guess like others I have a need to get some parts from the U.S. But the cost of postage can make it very expensive. Sometimes however I have managed to get either a relative /friend /business colleague to bring the odd smaller parts back after a holiday or business trip. I have had the supplier send internally within the U.S. which has dramatically saved on postage in some cases and then made arrangements in the UK to either collect or post.

Therefore I wondered whether this could be made to work on a wider basis for forum members.

What thoughts do others have?

Been doing it for over a decade. Will be doing it again in July with a Fiero motor for Angus. The difficult bit is stuff that is larger than checked baggage.
