#1 101 things I love & hate about my E-type

Post by TrevS » Fri May 29, 2015 10:49 am

Hi all

I've thought of a nice project as a way to document my ownership of my first E-type. I am going to list 101 things I love and 101 things that I hate about my E-type. As I am still in the honeymoon period there will probably be more love than hate but I am sure there will be plenty of things that niggle/annoy me that I'll discover.

I will be posting on my twitter account https://twitter.com/gt40builder but here are a few sneak peeks at my first few on the love list

#1 - Seat belts. Never has buckling up looked so good

#2 - Bonnet louvres, the coolest looking way to keep an engine cool

#3 - Wire wheels, surely the prettiest wheels in the world.

#4 - Smiths rev counter, beautiful piece of engineering and design.

How about 101 broken things you need to replace on your e type !

I could certainly make a good go at that list Lol

You should try owning a modernish Jag, 101 things that go wrong for no reason and then either work after you next switch the ignition on or fail for good.
Radio/phone/windscreen washers, drivers side heater.............

For the love list:
You never have to plug in the ODB/ODB-II scanner.

Hate list:
Seat positions on early cars, but it is charming (and you can get along way with a modern memory foam lumbar/lower back pad).
61 OTS Black on Red, 62 FHC nuts & bolts resto on the way to OSG & Matador red.
