Where do i find the body number on my car, a series 1.5 2+2? found engine, chassis and gearbox, but no idea where the body number is.

I believe there should be a tag near the rear number plate, but often lost like mine.

As above there is a 3" stamped aluminium plate riveted to the outside of the body under the rear number plate.
Sometimes the number has been written in marker/crayon over the paint on the inside of the rear hatch but you need to remove the trim to find it.
